Same great taste, now with more Umph!

Final Update 09/10/03
Amanda and I are back from our cross-country road trip and we have settled back into "normal" society. Amanda's back at work and I'm looking for a new job. We had some wonderful times, and some tough times, but I would absolutely do it over again. For me it was the realization of a long time dream and if I had it to do over again I wouldn't change much. If at the end of the day the objective is to have fewer regrets than memories, then this trip was a resounding success and something neither of us will ever forget.

We will be leaving this site up for at least the next year to share our road trip pictures and travelog. Enjoy.

Mike & Amanda

We're heading west!
For the next 7 weeks (actually 6 weeks and 6 days ;)) Amanda and I will be taking a road trip and exploring the country: seeing some sights, meeting some people, getting into adventures, and hopefully, avoiding any direct contact with bears.

Our road trip will take us from our hometown of Atlanta, GA thru the southern part of the United States, up the West Coast, into Canada, thru the midwest and back home to Georgia. Our stops are divided pretty much evenly between national parks (read sleeping on ground) and cities (read sleeping in bed). Check out our Route page to see our planned stops.

In case anybody's following along, we're taking our laptop with us so we can update the site with our pictures and thoughts from the road (travelog). I expect our updates will be consistently sporadic - at least once a week. If hitting F5 isn't your thing, you can sign up to receive an email when we post an update. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
