House update take 2

As you know from my last post, we made an offer for a place last week. All along I was thinking we could talk the price down a little bit as we got closer to closing. Not a lot just enough to sweeten the deal for us. We’ll they wouldn’t budge. I’ve never seen a group of people make such a fuss about a measly $100,000 difference. Rather than deal with their ‘money hang-ups’ we broadened our search to include: abandoned hotels, basements, and caves. It turns out homes here are pretty expensive.

So this week we put down an offer for a townhouse in the same community – Snoqualmie Ridge. You can read about the town homes here although you’ll have to do some work to find any pictures of the place on the net. I guess by not having pictures of the town homes on the site they were trying to avoid scaring away potential homebuyers who would clearly see the town homes exquisiteness and palatial beauty and would naturally assume they were unattainable by ordinary citizens.

So if all goes well with the offer and the threat we should be in our new semi-house in early July. We’ll have a house warming party, but I don’t think we’re going to invite any of you guys.
