The Juggling Monkeys 2005 Season Results

Season Highlights

Most Moves: Daddy made 38 moves (more than double anyone else) and those moves obviously paid off with a 10-4 record and 1017 points. Daddy clearly knows what he’s doing and deserves a tip of the hat.

Longest Winning Streak: Washington Rednecks with 6. Despite losing Javon Walker in week 1 the Rednecks managed squeak to out 12 wins with the team’s two loses both coming at the hands of the Mocha Mamas (a.k.a the wife ;) ) the Rednecks, along with Daddy, were this years two most dominate teams.

Season Lowlights

Fewest Points: With a total of 679 points the Malevolents turned in what is unquestionably the worst fantasy football season this league has ever witnessed. Was it bad luck? Was it injuries? Was it mistakes? It doesn’t matter, it was embarrassing.

Longest Losing Streak: No surprise here, the Malevolents somehow managed to lose 12 consecutive games in a 14 game season. That’s just awful.

Biggest Mouth: Congratulations goes to Donkey Punch for managing to accumulate 16 trash-talking posts in a 14 week season; more than doubling any other’s team trash output. If only Punch had spent as much time managing his team as crafting one-liners things might have turned out better for him. I guess the old adage is right – it’s not what you say you’re going to do that matters, but what you do.

Awards

2005 Champion – Washington Rednecks – will receive the coveted Juggling Monkey’s bobble head trophy along with 70% of the prize money ($56).

Second Place – Daddy - will receive 20% of the prize money ($16).

Third Place – Pigskins - will receive 10% of the prize money ($8) which is $2 less than the entrance fee. Hopefully this will motivate Pigskins to just “give a little more” next season.

Fourth Place – Mocha Mommasget nothing. The Mommas lost a squeaker to Pigskins in the playoffs to drop to the number four spot. All in all a respectable showing on the year.

Last Place – Malevolents – is awarded this Certificate of Completion for the 2005 season.  This years winner of the coveted Most likely to host a candle party on Sunday afternoon award is Malevolents who demonstrated an uncanny ability to lose despite having a one word team name comprised of four syllables. I guess size really doesn’t matter.

Until Next Year

To all that played I hope to see you back next year (Malevolents please study some film during the off-season). Daddy and Pigskin I can mail you your prize money or wire it into your PayPal account. Let me know where to send the money.
