I fell like Old Man Jack on that episode of Sienfeld when he thought Morty was stealing from the home owners association. "I cannot hold my tounge any longer."

Yeah looking out for democracy. A letter from the guy who's "brainy" idea it was to keep gas prices low by punishing the oil corporations with a windfall tax.

Corporations do not pay taxes. The shareholders and customers of corporations pay those taxes. So guess what that means? If he got his way, the oil companies will simply just raise prices even higher to cover their loss to the government.

Yeah, I'd say he has America's intrest at heart. Yesterday oil prices today a letter to Cheney....whatever bandwagon it takes to drum a few votes from the "followers".

Spector is really just a Democrat with an R next to his name.

I don’t know if anyone else has commented about it, but this whole Cheney-Specter spat is another example of how this country is really being run by the Vice-President. Once again we see the Vice President taking action and simply informing, or not, the White House on its actions. Just to mention two previous examples of this: The Cheney shooting incident when the Cheney didn’t even tell Bush that Cheney was the shooter, and the misnamed WHIG (White House Iraq Group) which was run out of the VP office.
